Shop Pal
![]() ![]() | Shop PalShop-pal is a Smart Card that saves the receipts of buyers whenever a purchase is made, anywhere. This is will eliminate the need to give a printed receipt by the Vendor. The end customer need not put any effort in saving the receipts/guarantees for future use, and has ready access to our online system which helps in daily/monthly book keeping. If one considers the amount of paper and printing resources consumed to produce the millions of receipts printed every day, this product will have a huge economic and environmental impact. The Economic impact is in terms of huge savings the vendors make on receipt paper, printer resources and waste disposal. The Environmental impact is in saving the large number of trees that would be cut down to make that receipt paper and the amount of waste generation that can be avoided.

This is a fantastic idea, even so relevant in the current environmental challenges.. and on a personal front i shall be really happy if the bills are saved online for me to retrieve later, i am so messy when it comes to filing my bills and would never be able to find them at the needed time.. Imagine the amount of invoices that are generated by the suppliers and the messy job of filing, we have automation happening in the internal budget approval process and issuance of L.P.O however not much is done in invoice or receipt management. |

things like these will definitely change the way we have perceived our shopping experience. Storing our bills and checking them on a regular basis will also help everyone in tracking their spending and of course, the paper - we shall save it for better purposes than for generating a bill (useless almost). |

I think instead of storing the details online, which would be a huge privacy problem, it would be better if the data was stored inside the card itself, like a memory card. The user can insert the card in his/ her computer and check their purchases. Storing online would mean that they could be used to know your buying patterns and would raise big privacy issues. |

its a good idea but it is not practically possible.the reason being that visa or mastercard would not allow a new system to intervene in their merchandise and it also raises a lot many security concerns and privacy issues too.It would corrupt their systems as it needs constant monitoring. instead many shopping places these days have started giving an option of email receipt which is a better feasible idea. i've just given a fair opinion. |
