Nadia Bini
About me
Nadia Bini holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Concordia University and a D.E.C. in fine wood-working and architectural carpentry from l’École du Meuble de Montréal. She has worked on community development and construction projects in Guyana and New Zealand, where limited economic means and the need for reusability taught her the importance of environmental impacts and maximizing resources in buildings, and the construction process. Nadia has also studied and worked in the United States in: eco-construction, renewable energy, permaculture, straw bale and earthen construction projects. Nadia is currently working as an independent eco-consultant and designer in LEED, environmental initiatives relating to the built environment, renewable energy, and waste reduction and reuse. Additionally, she is also the executive director for the non-profit Matériaux pour les Arts Montréal: a project that promotes the transfer and reuse of clean residual waste and surplus materials from industry, towards the arts and creative initiatives.
