To achieve our mission of fostering a new generation of socially responsible, environmentally sustainable, and financially viable companies, Challenge Your World is building an online community centered on world changing ideas – a virtual workspace where ideamakers and aspiring entrepreneurs can collaborate to turn their dreams into sustainable businesses.

Calling all new ideas!

To spark our ideas community, Challenge Your World will recognize and reward the 20 most promising ideas posted during Summer 2009 (from July 1st to August 31st).

The process is simple: 

1 - Post an idea for a sustainable business between July 1st and August 31st, 2009.

2 - We’ll review the idea and promote the most promising ones in our Featured section.

3 - The first 20 Featured ideas that receive 20 (or more) Thumbs Up will receive our Idea Welcome Kit. 

What do I get? 

Selected ideamakers will have their choice of 3 titles from our resource library, in recognition of their achievement. 

- 1 book in our Bridging the Gap category (business creation)
- 1 book in our Closing the Loop category (sustainability)
- 1 book in Reaching the Top category (professional development)

These titles are meant to not only inform and educate but also motivate and inspire.

What if I need a book which isn't listed in the resource library?

You can suggest a specific book that is closely related to the topic of your idea.

1 - Under the 'discuss this idea' tab of your idea profile, post a book title along with a short description explaining why it is related to your idea.

2 - The book must be available on Amazon.com (please provide the URL) and it must cost less than US$100.

3 - We’ll review the book and post a note if we agree.

You'll be able to choose two other books from our resource library to build your own Welcome Kit.

What do I have to do to receive the Summer 2009 Idea Welcome Kit?

1 - Sign up to become a member of Challenge Your World (if you haven't already done so).

2 - Post an idea that has the potential to evolve into a sustainable business – one that has a positive impact on people, planet and profit.

3 - Challenge Your World will review every idea posted throughout Summer 2009; the most promising ideas will be promoted in our Featured section.

4 - Invite your friends to support your idea by giving it a Thumbs Up.

The first 20 Featured ideas that are posted during July and August that receive 20 Thumbs Up (or more) will receive our Welcome Kit. Challenge Your World reserves the right to modify these rules at any time.

How do I know if I’m entitled to the Welcome Kit?

If your idea makes it into the Featured section between July 1st and August 31st, you will receive an alert by email. The first 20 ideas to receive 20 thumbs up before the end of august 2009 will be entitled to receive the Welcome Kit. These 20 ideamakers will be contacted for shipping details.

I don't have an idea, can I still participate?

To broaden our summer reading list, we’re offering a special deal: recommend noteworthy books in our Forum, and we'll give the first 20 members that have brilliant suggestions one book each.

1 - Sign up to become a member of Challenge Your World (if you haven't already done so).

2 - Post recommendations in our forum along with a short description explaining why they're relevant.

3 - The books must be available on Amazon.com (please provide the URLs) and they must cost less than US$100 each.

4 - We’ll review your suggestions and post a note if we agree. We'll update our Library listing accordingly if your books are accepted.

The first 20 members to suggest relevant books will receive one book of their choice from our Library — in other words, you can choose a different book than the ones you suggested! These 20 members will be contacted for shipping details. This special deal works in conjunction with the Summer 2009 Idea Welcome Kit (making a total of 4 books)!
