Did you notice? We have reset the vote count to start anew: To highlight Global Entrepreneurship Week, Challenge Your World is hosting "Action for a Better World", an Idea Challenge that gives you the opportunity to start a sustainable business with $ 5000 USD in development support!
The top 10 ideas as voted by the Challenge Your World community will be submitted to a panel of Challenge Your World judges who will select the best idea. The successful IdeaMaker will receive development support money, coaching and guidance and will present their idea during our live Global Entrepreurship Week event on November 19, 2009.

Last week, a group of major institutional investors called for a global effort to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 50% to 85% by 2050 from 1990 levels: A group of 181 investors managing $13 trillion, yes trillion, in assets weighed in with a joint statement to help produce action by political leaders around the globe.

The Guardian launches the 10:10 environment campaign!

10:10 is an empowering climate change campaign with the aim of getting individuals, companies and institutions to reduce their carbon footprint by 10% during 2010.
Franny Armstrong the creator of 10:10 at the Guardian : 'If you're not fighting climate change or improving the world, you're wasting your life'. The 10:10 campaign has been launched a few hours ago in UK. "The hope is that the campaign will be cloned in other countries and we'll be making it as easy as possible for that to happen."
